Annabel’s role with Lantra is to promote careers in Scotland’s land-based, aquaculture and environmental conservation sector. This involves working with a wide range of stakeholders and organisations such as schools, career influencers, young people, new entrants and career changers as well as industry representatives.
She also leads on our Industry Champions Initiative, which she thinks is the best job at Lantra because she always feel inspired by these fantastic ambassadors who help to share why their industries are so important and why people should consider a career in them.
Although not from a farming background, she has a keen interest in the countryside and has been heavily involved in Young Farmers for 13 years.
Her academic background is Geography and Psychology followed by Catchment Hydrology and Management. She is also a STEM Ambassador. In her spare time, she loves taking photos, especially of red squirrels near her home and in the countryside.
