ALBAS (Awards for Land-based and Aquaculture Skills)
ALBAS 2025 winners celebrate

Nominations now open!

Every year, we celebrate the hard work and achievements of trainees, pupils, Modern Apprentices, mentors, training providers and secondary schools across Scotland’s land-based and aquaculture sector at our ALBAS (Awards for Land-based and Aquaculture Skills).

We’re now delighted to announce that nominations for our 2026 event are open so you can apply here.

Once all the entry forms are in by the deadline of Friday 28 November (Secondary School deadline is Monday 27 October), they’re scrutinised by an independent panel of Judges, before the awards culminate in a high profile ceremony in the Crieff Hydro Hotel on Thursday 5 March 2026 hosted by horticultural magazine publisher, writer and podcaster MT O’Donnell.

The ALBAS recognise the inspirational qualities and outstanding contributions that our nominees make, and highlight the many rewarding careers on offer, but it’s only with your support that we’re able to run this fantastic event, celebrating the achievements of Scotland’s top trainees and training programmes. Find out how you can help here.
