Land-based and Aquaculture Learner of the Year Awards

Our prestigious learner of the year awards celebrate the achievements of exceptional people working in some of our most important industries.

The shortlist for this year's finalists has now been announced, but you can find out more about our event in a short video.

Our awards can only take place with generous support from our sector, so find out how you can help or get your tickets here.

We get nominations from across Scotland, allowing us to recognise and reward exceptional individuals within the environmental and land-based industries, highlight the exciting career opportunities on offer and show the benefits to businesses of having skilled staff. Nominations are for individuals or a school.

An independent team of judges with expertise across our sector go through the entries, interview a shortlist then decide on finalists and winners.

Our 2019 learner of the year awards ceremony takes place on Thursday 7th March, and will be hosted by farmer and stand-up comedian Jim Smith.
