ALBAS (Awards for Land-based and Aquaculture Skills)

Our prestigious ALBAS (Awards for Land-based and Aquaculture Skills) are key to recognising and celebrating the achievements of trainees within Scotland’s rural sector, as well as encouraging employers to invest in the next generation of talent.

Not only do they highlight the incredible individuals who work within Scotland’s land-based, aquaculture and environmental conservation industries, but they also promote the many rewarding careers available.

Find out all about the 2020 finalists here.

Nominations come in for individuals, a school or for partnership working.

If you'd like to join us then get your tickets here.

We couldn't run the ALBAS without our independent judges and some very generous people and organisations, so find out more about supporting our awards here.

Host and main speaker for the 2020 ALBAS on Thursday 5th March will again be Perthshire farmer and stand-up comedian, Jim Smith.
