Land-based and Aquaculture Learner of the Year Awards

Our prestigious learner of the year awards celebrate the achievements of exceptional people working in some of our most important industries and nominations have now closed.

Find out more about our event in a short video.

We get nominations from across Scotland, allowing us to recognise and reward exceptional individuals within the environmental and land-based industries, highlight the exciting career opportunities on offer and show the benefits to businesses of having skilled staff.

You can enter an individual nomination or a nomination for a school.

An independent team of judges with expertise across our sector go through the entries, interview a shortlist then decide on finalists and winners.

Our awards can only take place with generous support from our sector, so find out how you can help.

Photographs from our 2018 event are available on Flickr featuring presenter of sports and outdoors TV programmes, founder member and drummer with Deacon Blue, Dougie Vipond.

Our next learner of the year awards ceremony takes place on Thursday 7th March 2019, and will be hosted by farmer and stand-up comedian Jim Smith.
