Biography

I gained an honours degree in Agriculture from Aberdeen University in 2002 I worked as an assistant herd person on a 350 cow herd, where I learnt the importance of good management in maintaining performance and reducing production costs.

In 2004, I joined SAC as an agricultural consultant where I was involved in grant applications, facilitating the local diary group and providing technical advice. I worked as breeding adviser for Genus, selling dairy genetics and providing advice on dairy cow fertility, before returning to SAC in 2009. I am involved with SRDP-RP applications, business plans, cash flows, waste management plans and habitat plans.
