Niall engages with our industry partners, trade bodies and relevant public agencies and charities to support our understanding of the current, emerging and future skills needs of the aquaculture and land-based sectors in Scotland.
He also leads on Lantra’s education and training remit in Scotland, supporting our team in attending a wide range of events and activities linked to careers, schools and colleges, promoting the wide-ranging and exciting opportunities a career in our industries can offer.
Niall has worked in education and training in Scotland for over 20 years, mostly delivering and managing environmentally focussed courses in College, but also delivering practical training on employability programmes and teaching chemistry in schools.
With a love of the natural world, he spends much of his spare time gardening and growing fruit and vegetables for his family. When time allows, he loves walking, especially in and on the mountains and developing his photography skills.
