Sion completed a BSc Hons in Agriculture and is now farm manager at Bowhill Estate near Selkirk, in charge of nine full-time staff, running 500 cows, 4500 sheep and arable crops.
“Farming nowadays has to make great use of technology, from electronic identification of livestock to GPS in tractor cabs, to be more productive and run more efficient businesses. It’s really rewarding to be part of an industry that plays such an important role in Scotland’s rural economy and produces such high quality food.”
