Springboard for Rural Skills can help you become an instructor

Instructors on chainsaw and quad bike with trainees

UPDATE

Thanks to all who applied, but we are no longer taking applications for this project. To find out more about becoming an instructor, contact our Instructor Network Team.

With support from the Scottish Government, Lantra is working hard to increase and diversify the network of instructors supporting quality assured training in rural Scotland.

If you would like to become an instructor yourself, sharing your skills and experience with others, then we would love to hear from you.

You might want to register and deliver accredited training with an awarding organisation such as Lantra, City & Guilds or NPORS, or you might just want to support other people with skills development informally.

Professional guidance and financial support are available to help you: with registration and assessment; to plan additional technical and complementary business training; to learn instructional techniques, and to be mentored by an experienced instructor if this will add value to your professional development.

The opportunity is open to all, but we would really like to involve more women and some younger instructors to help support diversification and succession planning.
