Andrew did an SVQ Level 3 Mixed Farming after completing his SVQ Level 2 in Agriculture at Borders College. He works at home on the family farm.
“I have been interested in agriculture ever since I was very young. Growing up on a family farm, I have had responsibilities from a young age, from feeding livestock to tractor driving. Now I am older, my role on the farm is becoming larger each year, and the variety of work on our mixed farm keeps me interested.
My aim is to combine the knowledge and experience I have gained from college and add them to what I already do and hopefully achieve a more productive way of working. The harder I work now, the more I will benefit in the future.”
