Gain in-depth knowledge and understanding of veterinary nursing by studying a wide range of subjects, including anatomy and physiology, nursing skills, infection control, pharmacology, client relations, anaesthesia, diagnostic imaging, laboratory techniques, professional responsibility, theatre and surgical practice, health conditions, animal welfare and behaviour, ethics, and clinical practice.

You will graduate as a Registered Veterinary Nurse with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS). This is the professional qualification needed to practice as a veterinary nurse in the UK. Please note that a licence to practice as a Registered Veterinary Nurse is only available if you pass the course and do the required clinical placement within practice.
