Ian Thompson

From a farming background in Orkney, I have a detailed knowledge of dairy, arable, beef and soft fruit production systems gained throughout the UK both in my early career in farm management and latterly in consultancy.

In addition to providing ongoing technical and business advice to clients throughout Scotland, I have a practical and sympathetic approach to helping clients optimise use of their resources.

I also run a number of contract farming operations including livestock and crops, and have been extremely successful in preparing business plans and grant claims relating to diversification, farm shops, marketing, agri-food processing and business start-ups.
