Iain MacNaughton, from Cumbernauld, did a Modern Apprenticeship in Land-based Service Engineering, so took a vocational route into work instead of going to university.
Iain did his training through Thistle Ground Care Equipment in Lanarkshire.
He explained: “Studying for a Modern Apprenticeship has given me the knowledge and on the job skills I need to kick start my career.
It is more in-depth than your average engineering courses, and I believe it will make me better at my job and a more effective engineer. It is a good starting point to develop your career and get on quickly.”
