Skills for Business

There are lots of opportunities for employers in Scotland who want to improve the profitability and sustainability of their businesses. They can put staff through Modern Apprenticeships or through short training programmes. Farmers and crofters can also get advice and guidance through the Farm Advisory Service.

Along with the Skills for Farming group and with support from Skills Development Scotland, we produced an employers' toolkit which has lots of useful information for farmers about apprenticeships, training and placements.

We've also produced a similar toolkit for rural employers as well.

If you're an employer wanting to know more about how apprenticeships work, here's a webinar featuring employers, trainees and a training provider.

There is a growing demand for training across rural Scotland and so more opportunities for instructors to deliver the courses that people are looking for. Find out how to share your skills and become an instructor.
