Lantra Scotland have organised several Career Influencer Workshops with the aim of increasing knowledge and awareness of the exciting and rewarding career and progression opportunities offered within Scotland’s land-based and aquaculture industries. The events have also highlighted the increasing use of STEM within the sector, and growing number of job roles where STEM skills are important.
The events have benefitted from presentations from industry representatives, along with interactive activities and networking opportunities for attendees - previous organisations who have taken part include SNH, SRUC, Forestry & Land Scotland, HES and Borders College, as well as a wide range of land-based and aquaculture employers.
Who should attend? The events are aimed at teachers and STEM educators, DYW regional teams and education leads, SDS Career staff and other individuals with a remit for career guidance or developing work-based skills.
