HNC Garden Design

Get the education and training you need to become a garden designer.

This course will develop your knowledge of plants and their uses and includes the practical skills required for the care and maintenance of plants. You will also develop an awareness and understanding of the design process and the knowledge and skills required to design, build, research, and manage gardens.

You will learn the main concepts and terminology in horticulture and gain a knowledge of specialist areas. You will get an introduction to research processes and develop an understanding of the social relevance of horticulture and landscape. You will also develop your ability to solve problems, and to undertake analysis, synthesis and evaluation.
